About The Artist

Maya Robyn is a makeup artist who came from a small town in Ontario Canada. She started taking an interest in makeup artistry in high school. After realizing how much she loved the craft, she pursued it professionally in the Makeup for Media and Creative Arts program at Sheridan College. She always had a goal to make people feel good, and she just so happens to be quite creative as well. She always struggled to figure out what she wanted to do in life, until she realized makeup artistry was the perfect way to combine her goal and her creativity. Maya’s makeup style widely ranges from natural glam to bold glam to SFX and theatrical makeup. Her vision is what her client envisions. Her goal today in her makeup artistry is to use her creativity to make her clients wishes come true. 

 

The word Mirage derives from an optical illusion created by a physical source, like light. Maya believes that a mirage is very similar to makeup in the way that we can all create optical illusions to make something beautiful, like a flawless finished makeup look. With her clients wishes, Maya believes she can use her creativity and skill to create whatever optical illusion, or in other words, makeup look, her clients desire.
